Refund and cancellation policy

This policy applies to advisory engagements offered by Service Lagoon Core Ltd, including taxonomy planning, health reviews, naming sessions, and catalogue workshops. It does not cover software products, physical goods, or subscriptions, which we do not sell.

Eligibility

Refunds depend on whether facilitation or written work has started, notice timing, and whether a deposit reserved dates. Consumer rights under United Kingdom law remain unaffected where they apply.

Deposits

A 40% deposit typically secures workshop or review dates. Deposits are credited toward the engagement fee. Deposits become non-refundable once facilitation begins or when written review work has started on materials you supplied.

Cancellation by you

If you cancel more than ten business days before the first scheduled workshop or review start date, we refund fees paid minus a £75 administration charge. Cancellations between ten and three business days forfeit the deposit; remaining prepayments are refunded. Cancellations within three business days, or failure to attend a scheduled workshop (no-show), forfeit fees for that session or the deposit, whichever is greater.

Rescheduling

One reschedule with at least five business days’ notice is usually free. Later or repeated reschedules may incur a £120 fee or require a new deposit if calendars cannot accommodate the change.

Work already started

Once discovery review or workshop facilitation has begun, fees for completed stages are non-refundable. Partial refunds may apply to unused later stages, calculated against the scoped fee and documented in writing.

Deliverables and revisions

Flagship engagements include one revision cycle. Requests for additional revision rounds after acceptance of the pack are billable and non-refundable once started. Dissatisfaction with strategic naming choices after collaborative workshops does not alone create a refund right when deliverables match the agreed scope.

Materials and preparation

Time spent preparing custom workshop materials after your confirmation is non-refundable if you cancel after that preparation has begun, up to the value of the preparation stage stated in the quote.

Full or partial refunds

Full refunds apply when we cancel an engagement for reasons other than your breach and cannot offer a suitable alternative date. Partial refunds follow the stage-based rules above.

Refund process and timing

Email contact@service-lagooncore.click with your name, engagement reference, and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within fourteen business days of approval.

Exceptions

Force majeure events that prevent delivery may lead to rescheduling or a pro-rata refund of undelivered stages. Nothing in this policy limits non-excludable statutory rights.
